Gloves

  • Wear when touching blood, body fluids, or contaminated items
  • Change between patients
  • Never wash and reuse
  • Masks

  • Surgical masks for droplet precautions
  • N95 respirators for airborne precautions
  • Gowns

  • Wear for procedures likely to generate splashes
  • Remove before leaving patient area
  • Eye Protection

  • Face shields or goggles
  • Required when there's risk of splash
  • Donning & Doffing Order

    Put on: Gown → Mask → Eyewear → Gloves

    Remove: Gloves → Eyewear → Gown → Mask
